INTERCESSORY PRAYER TO SAINT PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI FOR THE POOR AND THE SICK
To be said every 4th of the Month (of October to June)

Almighty and most merciful God,
we remember before You all the poor and neglected,
those whom the world easily forgets:
the homeless and the destitute,
the elderly and the sick,
and all who have no one to care for them.

Through the intercession of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati,
who joyfully served the poor and gave his life in love,
grant us the grace to heal those who are broken in body and spirit,
to bring hope to the sorrowful,
and to turn their darkness into joy.

Make us instruments of Your love, O Lord,
so that, following the example of Your Son
and the radiant witness of Pier Giorgio,
we may show true compassion for the poor and forgotten.
Strengthen us to feed the hungry,
shelter the homeless,
care for the sick,
clothe the naked,
and defend the oppressed.

Help us, through the power of Your Holy Spirit,
to recognize in every suffering person
the face of Christ Himself,
and to honor their dignity as Your priceless gift.
As Pier Giorgio once said,
“Jesus comes to me every morning in Holy Communion,
and I repay Him in the miserable poor.”
May his words inspire us to live out our faith with courage and charity.

We pray for comfort to those who suffer,
for healing to those who are sick,
and for mercy upon those who are forgotten or cast aside.
Through our service and solidarity,
may they come to experience Your compassion and love.

Grant that, like Pier Giorgio,
we may walk through the path of the Beatitudes,
by serving Christ in the poor with joy, zeal, and unwavering faith.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who for our sake became poor,
that by His poverty we might become rich.
