Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati was profoundly devoted to the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Since he was 12 years old, he practiced daily communion with few exceptions until his last Communion received on July 3, 1925. Pier Giorgio also spent hours in Adoration especially during the night. He intensely focused on the Blessed Sacrament. He encouraged others to also receive the Eucharist as much as possible when he attended Eucharistic Congresses.

Pier Giorgio was also devoted to the Blessed Mother since childhood. He offered flowers to the Madonna of Oropa regularly. He prayed the rosary nightly and even during outdoor activities such as hiking. He also prayed the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin as a lay Dominican. He was consecrated to the Blessed Mother at the age of 17 in May 1918. He was also a part of the Marian Sodality and wore a medal of Our Lady. Marian devotion was a large part of Pier Giorgio’s spirituality.
